A former councillor has thrown his hat into the ring to return to the council horseshoe in Ward 3.
Gerry Lowe left to run for the provincial government in 2018, but chose not to seek re-election this past fall.
A lifelong Saint Johner, Lowe says he didn’t like being in Fredericton due to losing contact with his south end constituents.
If elected back to council Lowe would focus on municipal tax reform and pushing for a new school in the south central peninsula.
Lowe said his business experience has equipped him to help the city carry on and continue recent growth.
Voters will cast their ballots on May 10.
