Health care workers have been on the frontlines since the pandemic began and many say it has been a difficult year.
Moncton pharmacist Cynthia Ferguson says it was very stressful in the beginning with so much new information.
“We are human too, so there was a fear of getting sick and infecting your friends and family along with the fear of the unknown.”
Ferguson says it was also stressful trying to adapt to all of the protocols surrounding COVID-19.
“As time has gone on, I personally have felt a lot better. But it was a lot (to take in) for all of the different procedures especially in the retail business and the amount of information.”
She feels we have definitely benefitted from living in Atlantic Canada with keeping the virus at bay and she notes how public health has reacted quickly to outbreaks that occur.
But she adds being isolated from family and friends has been difficult for all of us.
