Cities in Atlantic Canada continued to receive love in the most recent publication of Maclean’s best communities in the country.
New Brunswick had three cities crack the top 12, with Fredericton ranked 2nd, Moncton placing 7th, and Saint John put at 12th.
Meanwhile, two other Maritime cities received high recognition, as Halifax was 1st overall and PEI’S Charlottetown ranked 10th.
This year’s rankings focused on remote work while neglecting factors such as unemployment rates and income. That gave way for Atlantic Canada to continue to flaunt its high quality of life.
For New Brunswick, the top features that led cities to high rankings included affordable housing, strong internet access and amenities.
Canada’s east coast has been a hot spot for big-city residents looking to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and enjoy the potential of an Atlantic bubble.
The list ranked 415 communities across Canada.
