Barbara Ellemberg has thrown her hat into the ring for Saint John council in Ward 3.
In a post to her Facebook page, Ellemberg says she would fight for better services like public transit, and more effective recycling, while continuing to battle the effects of climate change.
She would also advocate for the city at the provincial level, by fighting for affordable housing, fair taxation, and regional cost-sharing.
Ellemberg says the city needs to build a vibrant community in order to attract more new residents.
She believes the best way to achieve that vision is for the city to prioritize more clean green spaces, along with better accessibility, and by promoting arts and culture.
New Brunswickers head to the polls on May 10.
