Jason Alcorn is seeking a seat at the council horseshoe in Saint John’s Ward 2.
The longtime lawyer has 15 years of experience working in financial market regulation, and has volunteered on several boards in the city including the Saint John YMCA’s finance committee.
Alcorn says he’s running because he wants to have a voice during what he calls a “critical moment” in the city’s history.
He believes the next council needs to focus its energy on population growth and improving the economy, as well as municipal tax reform.
Alcorn says his extensive volunteer experience makes him the right candidate to help build a successful plan that benefits all citizens across the community.
