A Hoyt man has been charged in connection with sexual assaults against minors in Oromocto.
35-year-old Daniel Leigh Hewitt was charged Thursday with two counts of child luring, two counts of sexual assault, and two counts of sexual touching.
The charges resulted from incidents on Jan. 21, 2021, involving two teen girls police say were lured to meet a man they were talking to on Snapchat.
Police said Hewitt used the display name “DL” and the username “Standy506” and he may have also used other social media platforms to communicate with other people.
