One candidate for council in Saint John’s Ward 3 has decided to step away from the race.
Peter Duncan said on his campaign’s Facebook page that he was offered a full-time job that would interfere with council meetings one day after the cut-off to remove his name from the ballot has passed.
According to Duncan’s page, he’s a newcomer to the region, who moved to Saint John in 2020.
New Brunswickers head to the polls on May 10.
