It was a busy weekend for members of the Welsford Volunteer Fire Department.
Just after noon Saturday, crews were called after a camp burnt down and caught brush on fire.
According to a Facebook post from the department, they had to deploy their boat to get to the scene.
“Crews worked in coordination with forest rangers” from the Department of Energy and Resource Development, according to the post.
Later in the day, firefighters got a call about a lost hiker in the Mount Douglas area.
They quickly located the hikers and brought them off the mountain.
“One of the hikers experienced a minor lower-body injury, but was OK,” said the post.
Then at 1 p.m. Sunday, crews were called to a transport truck fire on Route 7 northbound at Petersville Hill.
Firefighters made a quick attack and bring the fire under control quickly.
“The occupant did experience some burn injuries and was looked after by paramedics who responded,” said the post.
