Nova Scotia Premier Iain Rankin announced on Tuesday a two week province wide shutdown or circuit breaker, starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
This includes public schools, businesses and restaurants.
Earlier on Tuesday, the province Nova Scotia reported 96 new cases of COVID-19.
There are now 419 active case with 90 in the Central zone, three in the Eastern zone, one in the Northern zone and two in the Western zone.
The province of Nova Scotia added 66 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
