Four New Brunswick roads made the cut in the 2021 CAA Atlantic Worst Roads list.
They include Hebron Road in Studholm Parish, north of Sussex, and Scotch Lake Road near Mactaquac.
Also on the list are Sherwood Road in Mapledale and Campbell Settlement Road in Southampton Parish, both in the Woodstock area.
CAA Atlantic’s Julia Kent says Newfoundland and Labrador has three roads in the top five including the worst offender being the Terra Nova Road in Terra Nova.
“Every year we see really good representation from that province but this year in particular they really came out passionate about the roads on the list,” Kent said.
Prince Edward Island is not represented on this year’s list while Nova Scotia has two roads: Bog Road in Falmouth and Saint Peters Fourchu Road in Lower Saint Esprit.
Kent said the list includes a repeat offender from Newfoundland and Labrador which is unusual.
“Government’s listen to this list. They make changes by the next year’s campaign,” Kent said.
Kent said the primary focus of the Worst Roads campaign is to bring attention to provincial governments about the roads their residents think should be fixed first.
