Guy Verna is hoping to represent Saint John as one of its two councillors at large.
He says the city needs more affordable housing, and he’d work with the province and building owners to try and improve Saint John’s housing stock.
In a candidate forum last week, Verna said the city also needs to work with the province on property tax.
He also voiced his support for the 2SLGBTQ+ community, saying if elected he’d create a committee to improve feedback opportunities for that community.
