The City of Saint John says bookings for recreation fields and courts for the upcoming season are back to pre-pandemic levels.
According to the city, 22 user groups have booked a total of 312 weekly hours across the dozens of city-owned fields and courts for the spring and summer seasons.
The city is accepting ‘one-off’ bookings and tournament requests, but groups are responsible for insurance coverage, a COVID-19 operational plan, and acknowledgement of the city’s pandemic operation plan.
Like all city properties, the recreation facilities are being operated in line with provincial Public Health guidelines.
Saint John will continue to follow Public Health guidelines, and field availability could be impacted by future provincial COVID phase changes.
