New Brunswick has reported only two new cases of COVID-19 today (May 11).
Public Health says the Fredericton region (Zone 3) has one new case which is an individual in their 40s.
The other case is in the Bathurst region (Zone 6) involving someone in their 50s.
Both cases are under investigation.
Since Monday, 15 people have recovered from the virus and the number of active cases has fallen to 136.
Public Health adds eleven people are in hospital with seven in New Brunswick – including three in an intensive care unit – and four have been hospitalized out of province.
All of New Brunswick is now in the Yellow level of pandemic recovery.
In the provincial vaccination rollout, anyone who is 40 years of age and older is now eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine and appointments can be made through the regional health authorities or local pharmacies.
Youth ages 12 to 15 are also eligible for shots with parental consent if they have complex medical conditions or two or more chronic conditions.
