The YMCA of Greater Saint John’s Newcomer Connections Series returns this weekend, this time featuring newcomer students from all over southern New Brunswick.
YMCA Settlement Trainer, Erin Stewart says the youth speakers will focus on a variety of topics, from their experience as international students to business ventures as entrepreneurs and their hobbies.
“They deserve a platform to introduce themselves to the community. I think another big part of it is that newcomers and immigration are just so important for the economic growth, the cultural growth of our region,” says Stewart. “I feel it’s just so exciting to see all the talent that youth in particular are bringing to our city.”
Each presentation will be conducted online through Zoom and presented as a webinar with anyone welcome to register and attend.
