New Brunswick added five new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.
One new case was found in Zone 2, the Saint John region, and four new cases were discovered in Zone 3, the Fredericton area.
16 people recovered since Thursday bringing the active number of cases to 116.
Ten people are in hospital, six are being hospitalized in this province, four are out of province.
Two patients are in the ICU.
Public Health will continue to use the AstraZeneca vaccine for those who are 55 and older and have provided informed consent.
Because supply is limited it’s being used primarily for those who are homebound and unable to access other vaccines.
