Pharmacies across New Brunswick have been extremely busy in recent weeks with the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines to various age groups.
Cindy Gillam, pharmacist owner of Shoppers Drug Mart at Lounsbury Plaza in north Moncton, says her phones have been ringing constantly.
She says the shots seem to be well-accepted by most people.
“It’s not under our control, the government is controlling what we are able to get and we sometimes don’t know what we’re getting. But as soon as we find out, we open up the clinics and we go,” she notes.
“Overall there has been lots of interest. Lots of people want to get in here and get the vaccine so we can maybe get back to a somewhat normal existence.”
Gillam added the younger generation seems to be responding faster to the vaccines than the older generation.
