Canada’s vaccination campaign hits a significant milestone.
Over 19-million people have received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
This means more than 50 per cent of Canadians have been administered their first jab.
This comes five months after the first vaccine was given in Canada, to a long-term care resident in Quebec City.
The nation has gradually seen the vaccine campaign ramping up over the past few months, this week alone seeing 4.5-million doses delivered from Pfizer and Moderna.
A total of 23,780,004 doses have arrived in the country since the beginning of the pandemic.
Just under 87 per cent of these have been administered.
