There are nine new cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick today.
The Saint John area has two new cases while the Moncton zone adds a single case.
The Fredericton region has four new cases and the Bathurst area adds two new cases.
Three people recovered since Thursday. The number of active cases is 139.
Seven patients are in the hospital, six of them are in New Brunswick facilities including two in intensive care.
One person is in a hospital outside of the province in the ICU.
Public Health officials have encouraged New Brunswickers who haven’t been vaccinated to get the shot.
“If you have not yet had your first dose you can book an appointment through Vitalité or Horizon health network clinics or through a participating pharmacy,” said Dr. Jennifer Russell, chief medical officer of health.
Anyone over the age of 12 can now book an appointment to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
