Police say a 24-year-old woman has died after a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle near Woodstock.
Emergency crews responded to the crash on Route 540 in Maxwell, southwest of Woodstock, around 3:35 a.m. Thursday.
Mounties say the pedestrian, who was from Woodstock, died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the woman’s exact cause of death.
