Public Health recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick on Saturday.
The five cases in Zone 1 (Moncton region) are as follows:
- an individual under the age of 19;
- an individual 20-29;
- an individual 40-49; and
- two people 50-59.
Three of these cases are contacts of previously confirmed cases and the other two cases are under investigation.
The four cases in Zone 3 (Fredericton region) are as follows:
- an individual 20-29;
- an individual 30-39; and
- two people 50-59.
Two of these cases are contacts of previously confirmed cases and the other two cases are under investigation.
The case in Zone 6 (Bathurst region) is an individual under the age of 19. This case is related to travel.
New Brunswick has 143 active cases of COVID-19 with six patients hospitalized in New Brunswick, including two in an intensive care unit. One patient is hospitalized out of province in an intensive care unit.
New Brunswick’s vaccine rollout has now reached 60.9% of eligible individuals.
Public exposure notifications have also been issued for locations in Zone 1, the Moncton region as well as Zone 3 the Fredericton region.
(Moncton region):
- Saint Pierre Catholic Church, 2000 Route 535, Cocagne, on Sunday, May 23, 11 a.m. service.
(Fredericton region):
- Capt. Submarine/Irving Oil, 305 Route 110, West Florenceville, on Thursday, May 20 between 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Anyone that has been in a public exposure area is eligible to receive a COVID-19 test.
