Public Health confirmed nine new cases of COVID-19 Sunday.
Five cases were linked to the Moncton area, two were in the Fredericton region, and the other two were discovered in the Saint John and Miramichi health zones.
Nine new recoveries were announced Sunday, meaning the active case number remained steady at 143.
There are seven New Brunswickers hospitalized with the virus, including three in an intensive care unit.
Vaccine update
More than 62 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers have now received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Appointments are available to all residents aged 12 and older.
Last week, Premier Blaine Higgs said they aim to have 75 per cent of the province vaccinated with one dose by June 7.
According to a press release, there are clinics with availabilities in Woodstock, St. Stephen, Sussex, Oromocto, and Moncton on Wednesday.
There are also available slots at clinics in Edmundston, Moncton, Tracadie and Campbellton for Thursday.
