New Brunswick is now just a few hundred vaccine doses away from loosening some of its pandemic restrictions.
Updated numbers on Monday morning show 74.8 per cent of eligible residents have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, up from 74.6 per cent on Sunday.
Public Health has said the province needs to hit 75 per cent before pandemic restrictions will begin to be lifted.
With about 693,000 people aged 12 and older eligible to receive the vaccine, that means around 1,300 people will need to get their first dose to reach that target.
The first phase of the “Path to Green” will involve eliminating the household bubble and opening borders to P.E.I., Newfoundland and Labrador, and parts of Québec and Nova Scotia without the requirement to self-isolate.
Cross-border commuters, truckers, and rotational workers would also be subject to reduced restrictions.
