New Brunswickers looking to experience a second dose Summer are in luck.
Beginning today, anyone that received their first dose of a vaccine before May 1 can now book their second dose.
In addition, as of June 21, second doses will be available for all New Brunswickers as long as 28 days have passed since their first shot.
The province is on the verge of achieving another large vaccination checkpoint, with the drive to 75 in striking distance.
As of today, June 14, 74.8% of eligible New Brunswickers have received at least one shot of a vaccine.
Another 1,345 first dose vaccinations will mean New Brunswick reaches the illustrious 75% and can begin loosening pandemic restrictions on the Path to Green.
Public Health reported one new case of COVID-19 on Monday.
An individual in their 50’s from Zone 6, the Bathurst Region has tested positive for the virus.
Since Sunday, eight people have recovered from the virus as the province’s active case count drops to 90, the lowest mark since March 25.
Seven New Brunswickers are hospitalized with the virus. Six patients are hospitalized in New Brunswick, including two in an intensive care unit. One patient is hospitalized out of province in an intensive care unit.
Public Health has also announced that a COIVD-19 outbreak at the Villa Maria nursing home in Saint-Louis de Kent has been declared over.
