Beginning on Monday, all New Brunswickers 12 and older will be able to schedule an appointment for their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, as long as 28 days have passed since their first shot.
The province continues to administer vaccines at an impressive pace as second doses near the 20% milestone. As of Sunday morning, 76.3% of eligible New Brunswickers have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 18.7% are fully vaccinated.
Second-dose appointments can be booked through a participating pharmacy or at a Vitalité or Horizon health network clinic.
Public Health reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
Both cases were discovered in Zone 3, the Fredericton region and are contacts of previously confirmed cases.
One individual has recovered since Saturday, causing the province’s active caseload to rise to 56.
Six New Brunswickers are in the hospital with COVID-19, including two in an intensive care unit.
