Nova Scotia will open to travellers from New Brunswick without restrictions starting next Wednesday, June 30 at 8 a.m.
The province says there will be no quarantine requirements and no online registration will be needed.
The two Maritime neighbours will open up to each other for the first time since late November when COVID-19 related outbreaks closed the Atlantic Bubble.
As always, Nova Scotia Premier Iain Rankin cautioned the reopening will depend on the pandemic.
“I understand that it is hard to be away from family for so long and I understand that you are anxious to see loved ones. But we are asking for a week.”
Rankin added it was a shame that this week’s border blockade of the Trans-Canada Highway had to happen noting how it disrupted the economy and the health care system.
