New Brunswickers now join other Atlantic Canadians in being able to visit Nova Scotia without self-isolating.
Special restrictions were placed on New Brunswick travellers last week over our decision to open up to the rest of Canada sooner.
That led to a nearly day-long blockade at the New Brunswick-Nova Scotia border and several arrests.
Dr. Robert Strang, the chief medical officer of health in Nova Scotia, said case numbers remain low in both provinces.
“We’re really not taking on any substantive risk by treating them fairly,” Strang said.
People from the rest of Canada can also visit Nova Scotia now but must self-isolate if they have not been fully vaccinated for two weeks.
