Now that Elsa has moved on, New Brunswickers get a break from tropical weather.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Jill Mapea said the rainfall was on par with what they expected to see from the post-tropical storm.
“Saint John reported 88 millimetres, the highest amount we had in the province was up in the Miramichi area with 107. We had some areas around Fredericton anywhere from 80 to 100. So the areas in the southern part of the province did see the rainfall amounts that were expected,” Mapea said.
Moncton recorded 37.3 millimetres of rain.
Mapea said the entire province is now looking at a couple of days without rain.
“It’s going to be very seasonal, dry for the next couple of days across the province, Right now in terms of tropical weather, there is nothing that we are watching right now,” Mapea said.
