Health officials in New Brunswick say 52 per cent of eligible residents are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Public Health confirmed Tuesday that 79.7 per cent also have at least one dose of a vaccine.
“To achieve our next target of fully vaccinating 75 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers, we need people to continue to roll up their sleeves,” said Dr. Jennifer Russell, the province’s chief medical officer of health, in a release.
“I encourage anyone who hasn’t booked an appointment to do so now and help us move closer to our final phase on our path to Green.”
All eligible New Brunswickers can now book appointments for their second doses as long as it’s been 28 days since their first dose. Appointments are available through Horizon Health Network clinics or participating pharmacies.
Residents only need to bring a consent form, their Medicare card and a copy of their record of immunization.
Meanwhile, the province continues to hold mobile vaccination clinics thanks to business and government partners like Extra-Mural/Ambulance New Brunswick. The walk-in clinics are meant to bridge gaps in accessibility and conveniences for the shots.
