The nine day streak of no new COVID-19 cases in New Brunswick is over.
Public Health has reported seven new cases of COVID-19 today (July 15) and all are related to travel.
The Moncton Zone 1 region has six cases:
- an individual 19 and under;
- an individual 20-29; and
- four people 30-39.
The Fredericton Zone 3 region has one case:
- an individual 60-69.
“This sudden increase in cases shows us that we are not yet finished with COVID-19,” said Dr. Jennifer Russell, chief medical officer of health.
“That is why it is so important that New Brunswickers protect themselves and everyone around them from serious illness by getting fully vaccinated as soon as possible.”
Since yesterday, one individual has recovered and the number of active cases is eight.
No one is in hospital with the virus in New Brunswick.
Since yesterday, 758 COVID-19 tests were conducted.
