To boost bookings, the province, the Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Hotel Association have launched the Meeting Incentive Program.
It will provide a 20 per cent discount for bookings which meet specific criteria.
Tammy Scott-Wallace is the Tourism, Culture and Heritage Minister.
“Our hotel and motel industries contribute to the economic recovery, financial stability and growth of our province. The Meetings Incentive Program will stimulate corporate travel, help rebuild the meetings and conventions market and provide operators with additional support to get back on their feet post-pandemic,” Scott-Wallace said.
The bookings must be for business-related travel and related expenses up to $5,000 for things like meeting rooms, food and audio-visual equipment.
Eligible stays must be for corporate, government or association-related businesses with 10 or more rooms booked on one night during the stay.
New business must be booked between July 19th, 2021 and April 30th, 2022.
