New Brunswick has administered over 1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, reaching a milestone in its vaccination campaign.
As of 9 a.m., there have been a total of 1,005,101 doses administered in the province, according to figures from the COVID-19 dashboard. Public Health administered 7,303 doses on Friday.
Over 6,000 New Brunswickers received their second shot on Friday, as 63.6% of the eligible population is considered fully vaccinated against the virus.
In addition, 1,158 people got their first jab, pushing first dose vaccinations from 81.2% to 81.4%.
New Brunswick’s move to the green level is no longer contingent on vaccination statistics. Premier Blaine Higgs announced on Friday that the province will remove all pandemic restrictions on July 30.
Public Health reported zero new cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick on Saturday.
The active case count remains at 10 as there were no new recoveries reported.
