New Brunswick discovered two new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Both cases are individuals in Zone 1, the Moncton region. One case is related to travel, and the other remains under investigation.
Since Tuesday, there has been one new recovery, increasing the number of active cases to eight.
Public Health continues to push the multiple options for getting vaccinated, including through a mobile or walk-in clinic, an appointment through a participating pharmacy or at a Vitalité or Horizon health network clinic.
“As we are days away from going fully green, getting vaccinated should continue to be a priority,” said Dr. Jennifer Russell, chief medical officer of health. “Thousands of first and second dose Pfizer and Moderna appointments are available across the province. If you are eligible and have not made an appointment, please do so as soon as possible.”
As the province approaches its move to green, the Government of New Brunswick says it will scale back news releases regarding COVID-19.
Releases will only be posted in the event of developments, but the case figures and vaccination rates will be available through the COVID-19 dashboard.
The province’s mandatory order will not be renewed on July 30 at 11:59 p.m., which will remove all restrictions in the province as it goes to Green.
