Maritime energy company Greenfoot Energy will offer a heat pump rental program through a partnership with Saint John Energy, the companies announced Wednesday.
Beginning August 1, Greenfoot became the delivery agent for new heat pump rental installs and also became responsible for the service and maintenance of Saint John Energy’s existing fleet of over 6500 heat pumps.
“Saint John Energy is an up-and-coming leader in energy efficiency, and we are happy to be working with them,” said Joe Godbout, CEO-Founder of Greenfoot, in a release. “With this new partnership comes great opportunities for energy efficiency and a step towards a more sustainable energy grid. We are two companies that are aligned when it comes to customer-focused solutions to help people reduce energy consumption and costs, while making greener choices.”
Greenfoot Energy was established in 2015 and has since grown to become an energy efficiency solutions provider throughout the Maritimes. They have 160 employees and are growing with plans to expand across Canada and into the United States.
“We’re always looking for partners that will help us challenge the status quo and expand our service offerings to customers,” said Ingrid Harris, manager of consumer products with Saint John Energy. “Greenfoot has great coverage across New Brunswick and an expertise that allows us to grow our heat pump rental program and advance our mission to become one of the greenest, most affordable energy regions in the country.”
Saint John Energy says the partnership allows them to continue their Utility of the Future vision, which promises to deliver smart products and services to consumers, generate renewable energy and energy storage, and innovate smart grid technology.
