St. Stephen firefighters responded to an early-morning apartment fire in Milltown early Wednesday morning.
Crews were called to Ross Avenue around 6 a.m. for a fire in a two-unit building.
The only person at home at the time was able to get out before fire crews arrived.
Tenants have been displaced as the building suffered heavy fire damage.
In a news release Thursday, the Canadian Red Cross said a woman from one apartment is staying with friends for now while the tenant from the other unit made their own arrangements.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated by the provincial fire marshal.
