The Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce is looking for input from businesses and residents on vaccine passports.
The chamber has launched a new survey to gauge the level of support for or against the idea of vaccine documentation.
Respondents will also be asked what sector they work in and whether they would ask for proof of vaccination from customers.
“We are hearing more and more events and gatherings are asking for some type of proof of double vaccination for entry and participation. It is important that the business community and the public have an opportunity to voice their opinions”, said David Duplisea, CEO of the Chamber.
Health Minister Dorothy Shephard said in July that the province has no plans to issue a domestic COVID-19 vaccine passport.
Our newsroom reached out to the health department on Thursday to see if that is still the case and is awaiting a response.
