Public Health reported 40 new cases of COVID-19 from Saturday to Monday.
There are 32 cases in the Moncton region, five in the Fredericton region, and three in the Miramichi region
Nineteen more people recovered have recovered. New Brunswick now has 105 active cases.
One person was hospitalized over the weekend but they have since been discharged.
Case breakdown by region
The Moncton region added 32 new cases.
- eight people 19 and under;
- five people 20-29;
- six people 30-39;
- four people 40-49;
- six people 50-59;
- two people 60-69;
- one person in their 70s.
Sixteen cases are contacts of previously confirmed cases, 13 cases are being investigated and three cases are linked to travel.
Five new cases were found in the Fredericton region.

Vaccination update
As of Monday, 71.4 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers are fully vaccinated and 83.4 per cent have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Since July 1, there have been 198 confirmed cases in New Brunswick. Of those, 171 – or 86 per cent – were not fully vaccinated.
Two outbreaks have been declared in the Moncton zone at a nursing home and a daycare
An outbreak was declared at Forest Dale Home, a 50-bed nursing home in Riverside-Albert after an employee tested positive.
Another outbreak was declared at the Owl and Friends Learning Centre in Moncton.
Four cases were recently confirmed at the facility and it will remain closed until August 24th.
