The RCMP Major Crime Unit is investigating the suspicious death of a man in Rivière-Verte as a homicide.
On Sunday morning, Saint-Léonard RCMP members responded to a report of an unresponsive man on rue Industrielle.
When police arrived on the scene, they found the body of a deceased man. Police have since determined that the man’s death was the result of a homicide.
The man who died has been identified as 60-year-old Rino St-Pierre of Rivière-Verte.
An autopsy will be performed to help determine the man’s exact cause of death. Police believe the crime was an isolated incident.
