Police are looking into a weekend assault at a Saint John hotel.
On Saturday night around 8 p.m., Saint John Police Force officers arrested a 21-year- old man after a woman was assaulted at a hotel on Smythe Street.
Police were told several people saw the assault take place.
The victim was taken to hospital and later released.
Police also said the man and woman involved know each another.
The man who was arrested will stay in custody with a bail hearing scheduled for Friday.
