A lot of teenagers and their families will finish their summer playing baseball in the greater Saint John area this weekend.
K.V. Minor Baseball is hosting the Under 18 AA Atlantic Baseball tournament at Memorial Field in Saint John and BiCentennial Field in Rothesay.
Special Events Coordinator Carolyn Bennett said 76 players and 19 coaches are taking part in the tournament.
“We’ve got reservations at three or four hotels. It’s a good boost for our community as far as hotels and restaurants go”.
Despite Thursday’s heavy rain, both fields could be used for games on Friday.
