Voters across Canada will head to the polls on Sept. 20 to elect their next member of Parliament.
Five people have put their names forward to become the next representative for the riding of Saint John-Rothesay.
They include Liberal candidate Wayne Long, Green Party candidate Ann McAllister, Conservative candidate Mel Norton, NDP candidate Don Paulin, and People’s Party of Canada candidate Nicholas Pereira.
We asked each of the candidates a series of questions on several topics, including:
- What would you do to help address the shortage of nurses and physicians in New Brunswick?
- How would you aid Canadian businesses that have struggled as a result of the pandemic?
- What would you do to help middle-class Canadians and those who are struggling to get ahead?
- How would you help deal with the affordable housing problem in New Brunswick?
- What would you and your party do to help address climate change?
