After so many months of not being able to travel…
I finally got to travel!
I was able to Set Sail with Bay Ferries!!
Monica was my tour guide for the trip and She took me to some of the best spots in the Digby,
Acadian Shores and Yarmouth regions!
It was so quick and easy for me to get my ticket and board Fundy Rose.
After a few quick Covid Screening questions and I was well on my way!
Fundy Rose has reduced her crossing times, so it’s even quicker for you to get to get across the Bay of Fundy and start your vacation. The staff treated me fantastic.
That breakfast Poutine and Coffee from The Acadia Eatery was delicious. Gave me the fuel I needed to start this very busy adventure!
They have On Board WiFi, 2 Movie Viewing Lounges, The Viewing Decks, The Truckers Lounge and comfortable seating. You’re going to feel like you’re travelling in style..
because you are! Join me on my adventures!

Accomodations
For my first night’s stay in Nova Scotia,
I had a beautiful room at the Digby Pines Resort and Spa.
Check in was a breeze. The staff were welcoming and gracious.
It was so comfortable. Big Screen TV, WiFi, comfortable chair to sit in while
I went through photos from the day.
The King bed was huge and so comfortable.
The view from the room window overlooked the courtyard and let in lots of natural light.
The room had a touch of the historical heritage, but was so clean and tidy I felt so relaxed and was able to enjoy my time there. It just felt and smelled clean. That goes a long way.
I was very pleased with my stay at the Digby Pines Resort. I had room 303 just in case you want a reference.
Dinner that evening was in the formal dining room and so delicious! I had the Steak Frites… steak was cooked to perfection and I made every morsel disappear. YUM!
I got to have my first buffet for breakfast in over 16 months here. Jamie was working the buffet and He and I had a great chat about how life is coming back around again.
Great guy. Just another example of the fine people you’ll encounter during your stay.
Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa, check them out for your next getaway, It was beautiful!
For my second night in Nova Scotia,
I stayed at The Gothik Guest House in Yarmouth. www.facebook.com/thegothik
I have a love for old homes and this one was over 150 years old and so well restored and maintained.
Monica had the Cerulean room (named after its light turquois colour) and mine was the Sienna room (a really nice reddish brown tone). The prices of the rooms are very reasonable.
We each had so much space and comfort. Again, we both had spacious comfy beds.
Beautiful views out the windows into the Heritage district in which the Gothik is situated.
The bath is shared, but so beautiful. Lots of space and comfort. It was so tastefully decorated… not a lot… just right.
Everything felt rich, substantial and elegant. Did I mention the rainfall shower head in the rich blue subway tiled shower? No? Well, its amazing.
I felt very at home, in terms of comfort, but yet appreciated the care that was given to this wonderful B&B for my time away.
Jeff and Angela provided a gourmet breakfast. It was simply delicious. Jeff is something of a Barista and will make the perfect cup of coffee for you.
You can find more info and more photos of this beautiful B&B here https://www.thegothik.ca/
Food
Ok Let’s talk about food!
I enjoy cooking and tasting wonderful things.
On my journey there was certainly no shortage of tasty treats and wonderful meals.
Everything from Hand crafted Beef Jerky, to Ice Cream
to scrumptious elegant dinners to all of the Seafood delicacies we know and love.
You can find nearly anything you can imagine.
The shops that sell fresh from the boat seafood,
will also sell a travel worthy cooler to bring home some yumminess.
Here are some photos documenting some of my visits.

Art
Art is a huge component of living near the Ocean.
It’s just so inspiring, life-giving and powerful.
The artwork that you will find on your journey are very well celebrated; The Wineries, Restaurants, breweries and even Uptown / Down town will incorporate the artwork of local creators into everything from beverage labels to road signs.
Crafts, carvings, leather goods, tapestries, whimsical paintings and fine art.
You’ll see a whole new world of beautiful creations that you perhaps have not yet seen.
I’m very familiar with the local art community in New Brunswick and Its fantastic.
This is like reading the next chapter in a beautiful book that celebrates the artistic community. It’s not a comparison, it’s a continuation!
Art is celebrated and it will look great in your home.
Here are just a few examples from my journey.

Cape Forchu Light
Let me state right up front, I’m not a fan of heights.
However, on this trip, I got to climb way up in the air
and have a look from atop the Cape Forchu Light.
I hope you enjoy this interview with Jennifer Wilkins
General Manager at Cape Forchu, as she gives some more info
about this wonderful spot that you can visit when you come to
Yarmouth and surrounding area.
Conclusion,
I had travelled to Nova Scotia many times over the years and had enjoyed it.
On this trip, where I had my own celebrity tour guide, it was that much more special.
As I travelled around with Monica, from Bay Ferries, I felt like I was being given the red carpet treatment to the best spots in the regions.
As you are planning your trips and vacations this season, I hope that you will check out some of the locations I have mentioned, and have a wonderful time making memories!
Thank you to Bay Ferries and all of the wonderful businesses that I was able to visit and spend time with. It was greatly enjoyed and appreciated.
See you soon!
