Saint John Police tweeted at 2:35 p.m. that an arrest has been made in an earlier incident.
The section of Route 1 which was closed has reopened to traffic.

Saint John Police Force and RCMP have taken one person in to custody in the Spruce Lake area. Highway 1 both eastbound and westbound traffic is reopened. Thank you very much for your patience and be safe!

The Saint John Police Force and RCMP have closed Route 1 between exit 103 and exit 112 for eastbound and westbound traffic.
In a tweet from The Saint John Police Force, it mentions the stretch of highway will be closed until further notice.
A news release from Saint John Police on Monday afternoon said officers are looking for a man they believe to be armed.
Police have asked businesses in the Lorneville area are urged to shelter in place and anyone who sees anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force.
The man was described as wearing a black ball cap, having facial hair, ripped jeans, dark top, white sneakers and has a dog with him.
Police have urged residents not to approach this man and if anyone is seen matching the description, please call 9-1-1.
