Two Canadians are back home after being detained for over 1,000 days in China.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted that a plane carrying diplomat Michael Kovrig and entrepreneur Michael Spavor had left Chinese airspace Friday night.
Multiple media outlets are reporting Trudeau met the two men as they landed in Calgary this morning.
Their release was announced the same day an extradition case against Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou was dropped, although Chinese officials have denied the two cases were linked.
