The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force has teamed up with a national organization to help find missing children.
The Missing Children Society of Canada uses the latest technology to help police forces with their investigations.
The society has an app called MCSC rescu which allows people to view active cases and leave confidential tips.
Users can also sign up to get text message alerts when a high-risk child goes missing in their area.
It is described as a secondary alerting system to meet the response gap for high-risk missing children cases that do not meet AMBER Alert criteria.
There are two active cases currently in Atlantic Canada, including Madison Roy-Boudreau of Bathurst.
The 14-year-old girl was last seen on the morning of May 11. Police have since said they are treating the case as a homicide.
The other is three-year-old Dylan Ehler of Truro, N.S., who has not been seen since May 6, 2020.
Kennebecasis regional police are encouraging everyone to download the app and sign up for text updates.
