Police say a teen has been charged after a 13-year-old reported being lured to a secluded area in Quispamsis and sexually assaulted.
Kennebecasis regional police officers were called to the Parkside Drive area on the evening of September 28th.
The youth, who police describe as “vulnerable,” told police they were approached by a male stranger and lured to a secluded area.
After a search, the suspect was arrested in nearby woods.
A 15-year-old boy is charged with sexual assault, assault, uttering threats, and breach of a youth court order.
On Thursday, the teen appeared in Saint John Youth Court and waived his bail hearing.
He has been sent for a 30-day assessment and is due back in court on November 3rd.
