Canada Post has unveiled a stamp to honour Nova Scotia editorial cartoonist Bruce Mackinnon.
Mackinnon’s first cartoon was published at the age of 14 in his hometown paper in Antigonish, before being hired to draw weekly cartoons for The Chronicle Herald.
Since then, Mackinnon has drawn more than 8,000 cartoons and won numerous awards, including 21 Atlantic Journalism Awards.
The stamp features his cartoon which was drawn following the Humboldt Broncos bus crash in 2018.
Mackinnon is one of five of Canada’s greatest editorial cartoonists being celebrated with a new stamp by Canada Post.
