On Wednesday, New Brunswick health officials reported 82 new cases of COVID-19 and five more virus-related deaths.
This brings the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the province to 80.
There are 32 new cases in the Moncton region, five new cases in the Saint John area, 12 in the Fredericton region, nine in Edmundston zone, 18 in the Campbellton area, four in the Bathurst region, and two in the Miramichi region.
Of the new cases, 50 per cent are fully vaccinated, 44 per cent are unvaccinated, and six per cent are partially vaccinated.
There are 68 people hospitalized due to the virus, including 27 in an intensive care unit.
Forty-four patients in hospital are unvaccinated, four are partially vaccinated and 20 are fully vaccinated.
Of the 27 in ICU, 21 are unvaccinated, three are partially vaccinated and three are fully vaccinated.
The active caseload now stands at 1,074 after 95 recoveries.
Public Health sats 81.6 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers are fully vaccinated and 90.9 per cent have received their first dose of a vaccine.
