Some residents in the Lakeville Corner area, east of Fredericton, will face lengthy detours over the next few days.
The twin bridges on Route 690 will be closed from Monday, Oct. 18, until Friday, Oct. 22, according to the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
“This closure is necessary to help complete a rehabilitation of both deck surfaces,” the department said in an email to our newsroom.
Residents will face an 80-kilometre detour through Fredericton to get from one side of the bridges to the other.
Officials say the public can park on either side of the bridges and walk across.
