New Brunswick is hosting this year’s Atlantic Provinces Reverse Trade Show over the next week.
More than 500 suppliers and 28 exhibitors are expected to take part in the virtual event, which runs from Oct. 18 to 24.
Exhibitors include provincial governments, the federal government, municipalities, post-secondary institutions and Crown corporations.
The event is described as a chance to connect suppliers with the people, tools and processes needed for selling goods and services to government.
“Public procurement is a key component to energizing the private sector by creating opportunities of growth for our province and the entire Atlantic region,” Service New Brunswick Minister Mary Wilson said in a news release.
According to the province, it spent an average of $1.06 billion on procurement annually over the past 14 years.
The trade show is a collaborative effort between Service New Brunswick and Opportunities NB.
New Brunswick also hosted the trade show in 2009, 2013, and 2017.
