A New Brunswick man has been sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison for conspiracy to traffic cocaine and committing an offence for a criminal organization.
Mounties say Emery Joseph “Pit” Martin was arrested in 2018 as part of two investigations into cocaine trafficking in northern New Brunswick.
The investigations began in 2016 and focused on the trafficking of cocaine on the Acadian Peninsula and in Restigouche, Madawaska and Victoria Counties.
Investigators seized more than five kilograms of cocaine and $900,000 in cash during the investigation.
Eight people have been sentenced in connection with the investigations, while two others have not yet been sentenced.
Police identified Martin as a full-patch member of the Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle club.
